After Effects Plugin Updated

April 6th, 2008

I made a small update to my After Effects plugin and uploaded the new plugin to the Workflow Plugin page. The plugin will now sort the clips on Import according to InPoint start time. This should solve some problems I was seeing in the final After Effects composition clip hierarchy, particularly when doing Multicamera editing in Sony Vegas.

Private Video Area added

March 28th, 2008

A password-protected area was added to enable us to share non-public works within our organization.

Thanks!

January 15th, 2008

Our donation campaign yielded a much needed $1850. We were able to purchase a new camera light, new 500gb hard drive, update our production software licenses and still have a bunch left over for production expenses. Thanks so much to everyone who contributed! Now, back to work…

Donate Now!

December 7th, 2007

We’ve started our December donation campaign. Visit the new donation page and consider making a donation. The more people we can show support us the better. Previous support was instrumental in our being awarded permanent 501(c)3 non-profit status by the IRS recently.

Website Updates

December 4th, 2007

There have been numerous updates lately:

  • There’s a new donation page and all donate buttons link to that page which has a lot more info on it. This is in anticipation of for our imminent campaign requesting donations.
  • Northern Ireland project has been moved from Future to Current. There’s only a first draft treatment written there by Jim Dee but I’ll get some clips up soon. This promises to be a very interesting project.
  • I added an interesting Ebru demonstration to the Gulen project video clips and a one hour video showing a Dialog Trip to Turkey sponsored by the Institute of Interfaith Dialog. You can see those videos here.
  • I added a link to be able to download an ipod/psp-sized version of the Eastern State Penitentiary video from Google Video. The quality is surprisingly good (better than the streaming quality).
  • I changed this blog’s name to verstehenNews since its turning into more of a place for website news as opposed to daily posts as I originally intended but apparently don’t have the time for. I also turned off the ability to post comments.
